Meet your osteopath: Grant Barnett

About Grant Barnett, M.Ost DPO

Grant has always believed that good osteopathic care is about far more than the area that’s hurting — it’s about understanding the whole person. That philosophy shapes every appointment he has, whether he’s seeing a newborn baby, a heavily pregnant mum, a desk-bound professional, or an older adult navigating a long-term health challenge.

Fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC No. 10299), Grant holds a Master’s degree in Osteopathy and a postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy (DPO) — specialist training undertaken at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) in London, where he also volunteers in clinic. It’s this specialist background that makes him particularly well-placed to work with babies, young children, and postnatal women.

Every appointment with Grant is unhurried and tailored to you. He draws on a range of osteopathic approaches — including soft tissue work, gentle joint mobilisation, and cranial techniques — and always takes time to explain what he’s found and what might help. Where relevant, he’ll also share practical guidance on movement, posture, and everyday habits that may support your wellbeing beyond the treatment room.

Most of all, Grant wants you to feel heard. Whether you’ve been struggling for years or something’s just started to niggle, you’re in the right place.

Qualifications, Training & Professional Registration

Grant holds an integrated Master’s degree in Osteopathy (M.Ost) from the University College of Osteopathy — one of the UK’s leading osteopathic institutions.

Alongside his core training, Grant has invested significantly in postgraduate study to deepen his skills in specialist areas:

The Sutherland Cranial College of Osteopathy is the UK’s foremost institution for advanced cranial osteopathy — the gentle, hands-on approach that Grant uses with babies, children, and patients requiring a particularly light touch.

Barral Institute UK offers specialist training in visceral and neural manipulation — approaches that consider the relationship between the body’s internal structures and musculoskeletal health.

The Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) is a respected charity clinic in London dedicated to paediatric osteopathic care. Grant undertook his postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy (DPO) through the OCC and continues to volunteer there — working with babies, infants, and postnatal women.

Professional registration Grant is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC No. 10299). GOsC registration is a legal requirement to practise as an osteopath in the UK, and means Grant meets rigorous standards of training, ongoing professional development, and patient care.

He is also a member of the Institute of Osteopathy (iO) — the professional body that supports osteopaths across the UK and advocates for the highest standards of patient-centred practice.

Osteopathic care for every stage of life

At Wejuv, every appointment is tailored to you — combining hands-on treatment with practical guidance to support how you feel and how you move. Whatever brings you through the door, Grant takes the time to understand the full picture.

Structural osteopathy

Hands-on treatment for the muscles, joints and spine — commonly sought for back and neck pain, headaches, postural strain, and sports injuries. Grant works with you to understand what's contributing to how you're feeling and what may help.

Cranial osteopathy

A very gentle, non-invasive approach that works with the body's natural rhythms. Suitable for all ages — and particularly popular with new parents seeking support for unsettled babies, feeding difficulties, and the physical demands of early parenthood.

Visceral osteopathy

An approach that considers the relationship between the body's internal structures and overall musculoskeletal health. Often sought by patients experiencing digestive discomfort, pelvic pain, or tension that hasn't resolved with other treatment.

Paediatric osteopathy

Gentle, specialist care for babies, infants and children — from just a few days old. Grant holds a postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy (DPO) from the Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC), where he also volunteers in clinic. Treatment is always very light, unhurried, and led entirely by your child's comfort.

Gentle, specialist care for your baby — from just a few days old

Birth is one of life’s most extraordinary moments — but it can also be physically demanding for your little one. Even straightforward deliveries can leave a newborn carrying tension in their head, neck and body. Gentle osteopathic treatment may help your baby feel more at ease in those precious early weeks.

Trained in paediatric osteopathy

Grant has undertaken specialist postgraduate training at the Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) and volunteers in their London clinic, treating babies, children, and postnatal women.

Incredibly gentle treatment

Treatment for babies uses very light, gentle touch — quite different from adult osteopathy. You’ll be right there throughout, and we always take things at your baby’s pace.

We treat all ages

From newborns to older children to adults, we see the whole family. Bring your partner, your toddler, your pram — you’re all very welcome.

GOsC registered & insured

Grant is fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council (No. 10299) and holds full professional indemnity insurance, giving you complete peace of mind.
