Meet Your Osteopath: Grant Barnett Shares His Story and Mission

Intro

Behind every treatment table is a passionate practitioner. I’m Grant Barnett, a fully qualified osteopath based in London. This is a little about who I am, why I chose osteopathy, and how I help people feel and move better every day.

My Journey to Osteopathy

I grew up in Australia with a deep love of sport, which initially led me to study sports management at university. After taking a winding path through various roles while living and working overseas, I discovered osteopathy during a particularly stressful period of my life — or perhaps, in hindsight, osteopathy found me.

The hands-on, holistic approach immediately resonated. After attending an open day, I knew I had found my calling and decided to make a complete career change — a decision I’ve never regretted.

I went on to train at the University College of Osteopathy in London, completing five years of part-time study while working. Since qualifying, I’ve continued to expand my skills with postgraduate training in paediatrics, cranial, and visceral osteopathy, among others. This ongoing learning allows me to provide personalised care for people of all ages and walks of life.

My Approach to Treatment

No two people — or bodies — are the same. That’s why I take time to understand your unique history, assess how your body moves, and deliver tailored, hands-on treatment. I also offer practical advice that fits into your lifestyle, supporting your progress outside the clinic.

What I Love About Being An Osteopath

Supporting the body’s natural ability to heal and helping people move more freely is incredibly fulfilling. Whether someone comes in with pain, tension, or simply feeling out of balance, my goal is for them to leave feeling lighter, more at ease, and more in control of their health.
